As the title of this page says this will be a weekly, depending on our operating schedule, news letter and feedback to any and all comments people send to us that comes directly from one of our team. This will be and should be a forum by the operator for the operator.
I'd like to welcome everyone to the new and improved as well as improving all the time Orion Protective Services website. As I'm hoping everyone can see and likes we have added a small tactical gear venue that we'd like to call the O Shop. Besides our promotional items there will gear offered that our operators actually use and tactical gear that in our opinion are very useful items for operators in our industry as well as any field that requires this type of equipment. These items will be updated frequently as equipment improves our availabilities will change. Orion's operational capabilities have much improved over the past year with better support, better personnel, and we have also become better equipped to handle the more varied and growing number of projects contracted to us.
A little flash back for everyone if I may.
Orion was created by a few special operations soldiers all returning from combat theaters, I.e. Iraq, Afghanistan in the year 2006. A few of our more seasoned operators had been to conflicts as far back as 1983 so we have a lot of experience behind us. The idea behind starting this company is that we saw a need for well trained and disciplined protective service personnel that could do operations both overseas and in the US. We also saw a large need for these high risk specialists to be more professional than most PSD units we had either seen or worked next to in the field. Believing in the fact that the personnel we bring to our teams needed to have a level of training and a requirement of being used to being in harms way, with also having the discipline and team work ethic it takes to accomplish all the missions that Orion has put before them. We believe our company stands apart in ways that most do not, we can supply a few Security Consultant Teams to an area of the world or do VIP/Executive Bodyguard/Protection work a zip code away and have the right people for the jobs.
Whether the projects are international or global we provide excellent support for both operator and client. Orion also saw a large need for specialized medical personnel to be an integral part of our teams to be able to medically help our personnel or the Clients wherever we would be. Other areas of expertise we highly believe to be an integral part of our work are our very skilled interpreters in many language skills and to be able to provide our own aerial support. Keeping our operators trained for many different types of scenarios and missions is key to always being ready and to ensure the success of any of our contracts. Another specialty offered by Orion is our Client Scenario Training which affords the clients to be put into a few scenarios of how we do what we do and what happens when different levels of threats occur against them in a live setting with the Operators that will be charged with protecting them. In closing I'd like to welcome all who view our site, we feel we exist not only for clients who need our help but also for the operators out there as well. Unfortunately, in welcoming the year 2009 we have to accept the ushering in of a new age of terrorism, violent criminals, and new and severe worldwide catastrophes. For all who need help in these areas or protection and aid of any kind that we may provide, please remember, that Orion is here, ever vigilant, ready and able to go when and where needed. Just as our namesake, The Protective God Orion, still seen in the night skies, shining brightly as a beacon to all, that need kept safe from harm, and one to lead home the protected who look to Orion.
